I am within days of purchasing an AV receiver. High on my list is the Outlaw 1070, but reading the post here on the forum, there seems to be problems , I.E. no sound, video color, etc. Can I assume these problems have been solved and the unit I get will not have issues?

I really want the 1070, but it has been hard enough getting the wife to agree to the purchase, and do not want the grief I am sure to get if I do.

Value your honest opinion.

I am close to ordering the 1070. From what I can tell, the firmware will fix the issues.

No one, I mean, no company gives better support that the Outlaws.

You can post here anytime and even call and get help. The people are good and very helpful.

Let me know how things go and what you think of the 1070.

I had a 1070 and returned it because of no audio issues. If this firmware fixes things I might have to get another...I sure miss the performance of that receiver!

The issues we have shouldn't be a deal breaker. In general they are minor for what you get in sound quality. No regrets here, despite my mewling!

Most of the stuff you are reading about on here is old news. I've had mine close to a year now and would never think twice about doing it again. I've had a few of the audio issues spoken of in here, but the firmware updates are taking care of it quite nicely, and they're easy to do - just take it out of the box and do it quick before you even start connecting stuff to it and you're done.
