For the past few weeks we have been working with a group of Beta testers to wring out the final bugs in a series of updates. The results have been very positive, but before we consider it “final”, we need your help.
As we have mentioned before, the elusive nature of the issue means that we need to test it in the widest range of systems, including yours. Thus, we are making it available on a “pre-release” basis to see if the different combination of DVD players, cable set-top boxes, satellite receivers and program sources in your systems surfaces any remaining triggers for this situation.
If you have never had a “no audio” issue, there is no need to install the new software, as there are no other changes to the system. That is also the reason why it is not necessary to “roll back” to the earlier software when you are done testing. However, if you have encountered this issue, we invite you to click
here to access the instructions and download the software.
Once the software is installed, we encourage you to play a wide variety of programs from all of your digital sources. Then, please send an e-mail to swtest@outlawaudio.com with the following information:
· Did you have any “no audio” occurrences with the earlier software? If so, has the new software eliminated them?
· If not, please let us know the source device (make and model) that was playing and the program type and name. (DVD? Broadcast? Cable? Satellite?)
· Are you using an optical or coaxial digital audio connection?
· Are you using a Model 1070 or Model 970?
Hopefully, we will have no negative reports, but any feedback you can give us will help the engineers and software coders to track things down. Quite frankly the Outlaw community is among the most knowledgeable group of home theater enthusiasts anywhere, so your test results and opinions are very valuable to us and we read every comment that is submitted.
Thanks for your assistance with this test. We look forward to your feedback and continued support.
