Finally got my 1070 set up on Xmas day and it sounds great! The only sticky items are related to the remote. One is by design so no real worries there ( the TNR + ON sequence stuff ) but the other is the absence of my Arcam CD player in the list of controllable devices. I wonder if anyone else has had any luck with a different manufacturers codes for the CD 73T? Or is there an updated list somewhere with Arcam code(s)?
Thanks guys.
Also - not the right place for this but if you want some good demo music - anything by Keb' Mo'.

I always recommend HiFi Remote for additional remote codes for the UEI remotes used by Outlaw. Unfortunately, I don't see Arcam listed there either.

Thanks Gonk. Where would we be without you?

You're right - Arcam isn't in the list. I did find some info indicating that it might respond to Phillips RC5 codes, whatever that means. I think the Arcam may use a Phillips transport so that makes some sense. I'll give that a try and see what happens.
I also have a Dell Axim pocket PC and I'm going to download a remote controller program for it. Might be a relatively inexpensive option compared to some of the fancy dedicated remotes on the market.
Thanks again.

Woot! Tried the Philips code and it seems to have worked for the Arcam player. I was running out of table space and now it's all good! Still might look into the PocketPC solution for macros and the like though...

The outlaw 1070 profile can downloaded for the Logitech 880 Harmony remote control.

Lizard King:

I am using a Harmony 688 and noticed that the "DVD Input" doesn't work controlling my 1070. Do you know how to get this working or to get around it.

I don't have a Harmony remote, but my understanding is that they support learning commands - in which case you should be able to learn the "DVD" command from the 1070's remote. You might also report the problem to Harmony, as it is something that they may want to work with you to fix.

I do not have my system or remote up yet. Go to Logitech's web page Jimmy.
