Liz: I know that the person who bought me my 1070 matched it to the speakers I already owned (my B&W's). They're rated at a sensitivity 90dB and the purchaser's opinion was that the 1070 was practically "made" for my speakers. He was right. My room size is larger than yours (14ftWide*16ftLength*7ftHigh) and the 1070 absolutely powers my setup w/ amazing clarity and precision.
