I'm looking at the 1070 w/ LFM-2 as a good solution for my new HT in my family room (13.5' W x 14.5' long x 9' ceiling). Mounting a 50" plasma on short wall above fireplace. Wifey won't allow floor standers or even bookshelf speakers (I've got a decent 2 channel system in my home office w/ KEF floor standers which she hates so I can't gripe too much). Anyway the best compromise I can do are good looking small satellites for a 5.1 system. Anybody out there have experience with either orb or gallo or other similarly small fashionably cool looking speakers with this setup? Which is better in your opinion, orb mod 2 or gallo adiva ti (?), regardless of price. Please also include comment on sub compatability, both orb and gallo have own sub products, but I believe LFM-2 is better.

There have actually been a few other Orb/Gallo users show up in the 1070 forum in the last year or so. Here are a few threads you might be interested in: Orb Mod 2 , ORB speakers , Gallo , golgi\'s thread , Gallo with Model 1050 , Orb with 1070 .

You might want to add the Mirage OmniSat Micro into your mix. Not sure if they'd fit your aesthetic needs but I can't say I've regretted purchasing 5 for my home theatre. Coupled with the CM200 sub they produce very good sound for both theatre and music. I'm still going to look for some better speakers for pure two channel but given the excellent reviews of the Mirage and the current going rate of about $58US per unit on ebay.. hey, you can't really go wrong.

Haven't heard them with my new 1070 yet - it's an Xmas present! Wah! I assume they'll only sound better than with my cheapo Sony - and that's saying quite a bit.

Good luck in your search - that's always half the fun!
