I was reading the 990 forum and came across the "Sub Settings" topic. I have a question concerning my 1070. Should I also set my crossovers on both my subs as high as they will go? Does the bass management in the 1070 carry over to the analog 2channel modes as well? I understand the benefit of the crossovers in the 1070 and the crossovers in the subs not interfering with each other as stated in the 990 forum, so I would like to turn the sub crossovers all the way up as long as I don't have to worry about some source or mode bypassing the 1070 crossover settings and letting higher than my current 1070 80Hz settings.
Thanks,
Tom

I would recommend either disabling your subs' crossovers or setting them as high as possible to allow the 1070 to handle all of the bass management.

The 1070's digital bass management works in all cases except for stereo analog bypass (which, since it's a pure analog passthrough, skips all of DSP section where bass management takes place). The 7.1 analog input is separate and is governed by the switch on the rear panel - "bypass" applies no bass management, "HPF/LPF" applies an analog 80Hz crossover, and "DIGITAL" applies the digital bass management.

Thanks Gonk, I just realized my Energy sub's have an external crossover input that bypasses the sub internal crossover and volume level. I moved the cables to these inputs and immediately noticed a smoother more balanced low end.
Thanks!
Tom
