I have a 1080p LCD display on the way, and I'm going to be using my PC connected through DVI. Does the 1070 offer dual-link, or single-link switching? Also, does it even matter at this resolution? I know that 1080i works through single-link fine, but wasn't sure for 1080p; I just don't know where the cutoff is before dual-link is necessary.

Like you, I know that single-link is enough for 1080i and 720p. I'm not sure about 1080p (I think single-link is still OK, but it's been close to two years since I dug into the single-link and dual-link issue). The inputs appear to have conductors for all of the pins in dual-link, but the Outlaws could say for certain. You might give them a call or drop them an e-mail inquiry .

According to the wikipedia, single link will allow "HDTV (1920 × 1080) @ 60 Hz with 5% LCD blanking (131 MHz)".

That's 1080p (1080 vertical at 60 Hz -- fps).

I don't know what the 5% LCD blanking refers to for certain, but I'm guessing it's something akin to VBI, and probably increases the total bandwidth used, if anything.

So I think you should be fine regardless of whether the 1070 supports dual link.
