I just received and set up my brand spanking new 1070. Looks nice except for 2 little problems during the set up.

1) The power cord wouldn't fit snug to the back of the receiver. One of the pins on the receptacle of the power cord was crushed. I fixed that by using a small screw driver. But it did make me wonder what else was going to go wrong.

2) Then something did. The remote would not work. Sure, when I pressed any of the buttons the remote would light up but it wouldn't control the receiver. I had to control the reciever from the front panel. Funny thing is, I can program the remote to turn my TV on and off and even bypass the TV's audio to control the 1070. But pressing any of the other buttons does nothing. It does send a signal out. I have an IR repeater connected to my Tivo and the repeater flashes whenever I press a button on the remote. Only the 1070 appears to be blind.

Anyone else have these teething problems?

No 1070 here, but I've heard a few other reports of the power cord not fitting quite right. As to the remote, there's something not right with the remote. I assume that you pressed the "TNR" button on the remote so that it will be controlling the 1070, and that the button hasn't been re-programmed to control some other device?

It is working! I'm not sure why, but the remote is working today. So strange! But, I'm happy.
