I have several video input devices, DVD, VHS, cable and laserdisc. I also use an analog input (Aux on the 1070?) for a turntable with an external pre-amp. I currently use a Rotel RSX-1055 and I label the inputs accordingly. It makes it much easier to see which input is turned on (by name) than remembering which video input is which component. Does the 1070 have this capability?

Being the 1070 is the big brother to the 970 (I auditioned a 970 at one time), as far as I can remember, you can NOT rename the inputs on these units. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Doug917 is correct - the 1070's inputs cannot be renamed. This feature was included on the 990, but not on the 970 and 1070.

I have the 970.. You can not rename the inputs. There was a newsletter at one point that said that input naming was going to be a feature, but that was incorrect.
