I'm currently experiencing the "no audio" problem. I downloaded the update to correct the problem but the update will not take. It goes through the four steps at the end the dialog box says the update is complete but when I turn on the receiver it shows that I still have firmware 10700605101231. What gives???

I'd think that 10700605101231 is the latest firmware - the "1070" means it's the 1070 (rather than the 970), the "060510" means it's from May 10, 2006 (the previous latest firmware is 060209), and the "1231" I think is just a time stamp for when it was compiled (shortly after noon).

EDIT: I edited my post to ask if anybody who has installed the new firmware could confirm the version number reported by their unit, and as I was typing it Scott posted.

Great, then I still have a problem...no sound..from any source. This has been a recurring problem with my 1070. In the past when this would happen I would turn the receiver off and then back on and the audio would come back on. Now this fix does not work, what do I do now?

Have you performed a manual reset? If not, you'll need to do this as part of the installation. If you have and you are still having trouble, please give us a call at 866-OUTLAWS in the morning.
