video system. I'll be receiving a new dish network dvr that has 720p/1080i HD output capability, and from what I can see outputs that both via the component video connection, and the hdmi port. Since I've already got a 50' rather expensive component cable run waiting for the outlaw1070 to arrive (currently runs between the dvd player and the projector) I'd like to keep everything connected via the component connectors. I've also read a lot that dvi/hdmi cables over 20 feet can be problematic, if not downright second mortgage expensive. So I'm hoping the 1070 will pass through the 720p signal to the projector(which is a 720 line native resolution)(panasonic ae900)

The 1070's video switching is rated for HD resolutions (both 720p and 1080i), so you should be fine with the existing component video cable.
