I need to add a remote IR to my 1070 and would like to make use of the IR connector on the back.

As the amp sits on the bottom shelf of the stand, I would like an IR receiver on top of the TV.

I could use Xantech as a solution, but wondering if there are other solutions.

The only solution I've used is Xantech (my notes from that can be found here . The 1070 should work just like the 950 did in my system, such that all you need is a cable from the IR receiver or distribution block to the IR input jack.

I just pretty much duplicated the above Xantech solution and I am quite happy with it - works great for everything.
