I can get a new Denon AVR-3806 from an authorized dealer for about the same price as a 1070. Does anyone have experience with comparing both of these receivers for sound-quality (the EQ is not a big factor for me)??

If the Denon has the features you like, the price sounds right to me.

I have the 3805 and I like the way it sounds with my Axioms.

Thanks Bugbitten...the price is defintely right on the Denon, just have no idea how the sound compares to the 1070. I actually tried a 3805 in my room about a year ago and was very impressed with it.
