A new 1070 would ship with the latest updates already installed, although it is probably adviseable to check with Outlaw to be certain - especially if an update has recently been released. In the event that a future update were released that you needed, I don't know that there will be any Mac software to help install it but you might be able to borrow a Windows laptop from a friend for a lunch hour or an evening - that would let you install the update without removing the unit from the equipment rack.
