I've been working with Steve on this problem for a couple of weeks now. I wasn't having the problem until my cable box was upgraded to a 2 tuner dvr. I lose audio when I change channels and sometimes by just powering the receiver on. I only have this problem however when I use Dolby PLII modes. Switching to Dolby PLIIx modes solves the problem. Try that..
Boy, and I thought it was just me having a problem.

You guys who had this problem, let us know how this upgrade works, k? I'm almost ready to retire the trusty old 1050 and jump on the 1070 bandwagon so I want to hear good things!

Haven't been through all the modes, (birthday party hunny do list) but the ones I was having trouble with are fine. And its detecting Dolby digital on my hi def channels faster. I'll work more on it later. Applied the upgrade and reprogrammed the reciever - 20 minutes.

You see I hadn't really noticed a problem until I had a few days off and started playing. I had been using DD and bypass mode for my cd's but not much of the other modes. So I started messing with PLII modes with my cd's and digital music, adding some width and dimension. This thing really started sounding neat with some dimenison added in. Even the wife asked what I did to make it sound so rich. My room is huge (28x32) so the effects were very pronounced. I can't go back now. :-)

Better jump on and get you one.. You can have mine but you'll have to come over here when you want to use it.. :-)

I uploaded the software and have not had any problems since. Thanks again Outlaws!

Also seems to be working for me so far, but since it was an intermittant problem anyway, we'll see in a few weeks.
