Hello. I'm new to Outlaw and thinking of getting a 1070 when it's out. I was wondering if anyone knows if the 1070 will be able to save different speaker configurations for each input/surround mode? For example, 5 Small and Sub On for DVD, and Fronts Large, Cent & Surr small, Sub Off for VID 1? Do Outlaw's other products do that? I suppose I could ask in their respective forums...

We don't know about the 1070 in this regard yet, but if it is included it would be a first for Outlaw - the 990 and 950 both lack this feature.

Just thought of a couple more things...
Could that feature be added via firmware through the RS-232 port? If Outlaw should ever decide to that, that is...
And is there a way to change speaker configurations 'on-the-fly' with the remote and not having to go through the OSD?

I can't rule out the possibility of something like this being added in a firmware update, but some features such as separate speaker configurations would require additional information be stored in the unit's memory, and there is an existing and finite amount of memory available that may prevent it from being possible. Also, you do need to go into the speaker size menu to change the speaker configuration.
