Forget about trying to find a DVD player with built-in DTS decoding. Just buy a 950. You'll be happier with it anyway.

Matthew:
I hear you. I'd love to buy the 950 but right now, unfortunetly its not in the budget. Maybe for next Christmas. In the mean time, I'll enjoy reading the feedback on the 950 once its starts shipping. I've been out of the high fidelity market for so long I forgot how fun it was! (and expensive).

By the way, the 6.1 surround worked great on Gladitor DTS ES using the 5.1 direct analog signal. I was having problems initially but realized that I had to do a speaker setup on my Sony in order to pass all of the seperate channels down to the 1050. In addition, Chapter 1 of Toy Story2 was also very agreeable in 6.1!
