Hey everyone,

I have a bit of a problem. I have the Harmony 720 remote which I use to control my system. When I watch a blu-ray movie, I will press DVD on the remote, everything goes perfect. 7700 and 990 turn on, blu-ray turns on and all associated equipment including the screen which will go down. I have that hooked up to the 12 v trig off the 990 for the input for the blu-ray input which is 7.1.

Heres the problem. When I shut down, the screen will start to go up and get about half way before the 990 will go into stand-by and not allow the screen to go up all the way.

Suggestions? Thanks!!!

I don't know a lot about programming the Harmony remotes and I know even less about your motorized screen, but what it sounds like is the screen is bring lowered based on an IR command after it is powered on by the 12V trigger. I say that because if that were the case, the screen would get the command to retract and start that process but then get turned off completely when the 990 shut down and the trigger signal went to "off." If that's the case, I'd remove the 12V trigger going to the screen so that it always has power and can react to the remote commands without worrying about 990's current state.

Another option (which I would know how to do on a URC remote but don't know about on a Harmony) would be to establish a delay in the "shut down" macro that causes the remote to wait for several seconds (enough time for the screen to finish retracting) before turning the 990 off, but that also assumes that IR signals are controlling the screen - in which case removing the trigger cable is still a simpler solution.
