Okay, I got a cable and usedthe "video monitor out" output on the 990, as instructed by the manual. Is that what you wanted me to do?
The problems disappear when I do that and use the TV's composite input. (But of course, when I switch the TV to use the 990s COMPONENT output, the problem remains.)
What does that tell us exactly? That something's odd about the 990's COMPONENT output?
