That is an awfully expensive DI box. You should be able to get one for around $30. I've got one that converts impedance, 40db attenuator, and a ground lift switch. All for $30. It a Rolls DB25. I use it when I have to run a computer into a mixer or vice versa. Also, the Behringer has a 16db gain within the unit. Both reviews that I read about it didn't mention needing a DI box.
The Ultracurve unit is a nice one. We had one in the theater I worked for. We did a lot of musicals, so it was great for managing a lot of microphones. But I don't suspect you'll be producing musicals in your house. It has a lot capabilities and can give you some flexibility in the future.
