I just installed an Impact Acoustics 5-Port HDMI Selector Switch to HT. My system built into a wall with front access into the room and a closet that accesses the rear connections. My rack is full and I wanted to install the switch in the closet. The switch has a remote IR input plug. The 990 has the IR out in the back and I thought, based on the owners manual that a simple cable between the 990 and the switch would work...But it doesn't.

Can someone shed some light on how the rear IR port is supposed to work. The manual implies that the IR out is a simple pass thru from the front panel.

Thanks

I don't know how the rear IR output works, but I know the rear IR input requires an interface module. You might be able to inquire with Outlaw support about how the IR output works, in case it behaves similarly to the IR input...
