I am going to sell my 990....not until the 997 becomes available. I have a friend who is seriously interested. I will be selling it for around $425.00. Is this a fair price?
Is the warranty still transferable? I purchased it in 2006. Also how do I set the 990 to its' default settings? When this is done does it erase all of my current information in all menu settings?

why not mark up your price and see what bid you will get through internet. Appears $425 is too low. Don't make your 990 cheap.
Once you set the 990 back to default settings, it will definity erase all your personal settings. Upgrade the firmware version also trigger the same. Good luck on your sale.

Pressing "SELECT" and "MENU" on the front panel while the 990 is in standby will reset the unit to factory defaults.

If you want to call it a "friend price" the $425 is not unreasonable. The latest ad I saw on Audiogon was at least $475, I think, although I don't know how old that unit was. The warranty is transferrable.
