I would like someones opinion on the purchase of two main speakers. I currently have a 990/7500 with an ORB Mod 2 surround speaker system along with their Super Eight Subwoofer. Planning to purchase two Outlaw 2200 amps to drive one of the following speakers:Anthony Gallo Reference 3.1, Aperion Intimus 6T, or the Klipsch RF-83. Any suggestions?

NYGIANT--What is your impression of the Orbs with the Outlaw combo? I ordered the 970/7075 and Orbs Mod 2 (I think, double stacked the L/C/Rs) with the Super Eight for my step dad. I am not impressed with the sub.

I didn't have him do any firmware upgrades, the 970 was working for his needs...so why fix sometin that's not broke.

Do you do any firmware upgrades, and did you find any sonic improvement?

AK

I am pleased with the ORB's and the sub in relation to surround sound for movies but not a well with album or CD music. I have had a set of Dalquist DQ-10 for years but they are two large and old for current use. I have yet to apply the firmware upgrade.
