I can't get the DVI out on my new 990 to send a video signal to my projector.
I have a Panasonic BD-30 connected to DVI 1 via a 6' Blue Jeans HDMI to DVI cable. I also have a Dish Network HD/DVR (VIP722) connected to DVI 2 also with a 6' Blue Jeans cable. The DVI out is connected to my Panasonic PT-AX200U projector via a 25' HDMI cable and a Blue Jeans HDMI/DVI adapter.
At first I suspected the HDMI/DVI adapter, so I switched it out with a monster adapter purchased from a local circuit city. Still no luck. I have assigned the proper video and audio inputs via the 990's OSD (the audio works great BTW). I have been able to get a few seconds of very degraded video when I jiggle the HDMI/DVI adapter, but not every time I jiggle it. Oh, and the HDMI cable doesn't appear to be the culprit as video works great when I bypass the 990 and connect the source directly to the projector with the 25' HDMI cable.
I contacted the Outlaws and they suggested I try shorter HDMI to DVI cables, like 1 or 2 feet. My cables are good quality and only 6 feet, but hey I'll give it a shot. Problem is, none of the local retailers in my area carry an HDMI to DVI cable less than 6 feet. I can order them from Blue Jeans, but that will take several days to get them.
Can anyone help? please? Thanks
