I am new to outlaw products so i hope you all will bear with me!I have a 990 and all 2200 monos on my system, the two channel stereo mode has a very strange sound,at times sounds like echo or slight reverb and other times a breathing effect. At this time i just wanted to configure stereo as i havent finished rear channel speakers but i need to address these sound issues first. Youre help here would be great, thanks confused

I don't want you to think we're all ignoring you tchitwood, and we won't ask about the proximity of indian burial grounds, but I've never encountered anything like that and have no idea what could be causing it in stereo mode.

If you're running 2200's all the way around, I have a question:

If you turn on only the 2200's powering your main left and right speakers, do you still hear the same effect?

Also, your post doesn't say what you're using for a source, but some sources have extra features which can be used to try to simulate surround sound with only two channels. If your source has such options, go through the menu(s) or switches on the source and make sure that only any such simulation options are off.

Historically, OPPO hasn't even offered any official mention of a new player on their site until it was shipping, and that was the plan for OPPO's latest player (the 983H ), as well. They ended up taking pre-orders for the first time with the 983H, though, as a result of a review that was released early (Secrets posted their benchmark score over a week before the player was ready to ship and they got hammered with requests), and they sold the first batch out completely. They should have stock again very shortly, though. For a top notch video and audio player, the 983H is an excellent choice.
