Is it possible to route video from my component-in DVD player to an s-video output to the TV? Is there some sort of down-scaling or something the processor can do for me? I have an old 40" Mitsu and it doesn't even have component-in.

Or did I just waste money on a new set of component-in cables?

Ah well, at least I have digital audio now.

The 990 does not offer video down-conversion. If your display's best video input is s-video, then you will be best served by running s-video from all of your sources to the 990.
