I'm trying to program a URC MX-810 but the Pro Wizard software it uses doesn't list the 990 only the 950. Does anyone know if the remote codes are the same for both?

They are very similar, although there are certainly differences that will require you to learn some stuff. You might also check out my MX-700 files - if the 810 software is compatible (even if just to import bits of data) you can get all of the 990 commands and just move stuff around.

Okay thanks I've never had a pc remote before so I'm still learning my way around the software and what I can and cannot do. I actually haven't learned yet about importing files and the different types of files you can use as this is just all so new for me coming from a MX-500. I don't know if the 810 is compatible with past URC pc remotes or not.

Database on a remote like the 810 isn't terribly critical - in fact, I don't often even look for such. I find that I get something that is easier for me to use (and explain to my wife) if I manually learn all of the commands into the remote, since that puts them where I want them. Once you get away from the most basic functions (numbers, transport controls, volume, and navigation controls), you can get into commands that aren't always easy to follow when you use the database.
