Database on a remote like the 810 isn't terribly critical - in fact, I don't often even look for such. I find that I get something that is easier for me to use (and explain to my wife) if I manually learn all of the commands into the remote, since that puts them where I want them. Once you get away from the most basic functions (numbers, transport controls, volume, and navigation controls), you can get into commands that aren't always easy to follow when you use the database.
