Hey outlaws: How can you tell if the 990 I just got has the new firmware update?? If mine dosen't is it something I should do?? What is the benifit of the new software?? Thanks Tom

I just got mine this past week (replacing a 950 that went back for repair) and it was at version 3.07. Looks like the Outlaws have a bunch of inventory that precedes the June 13, 2006 Firmware Update (3.11) update.

After scrounging up a USB A/B cable (USB scanner had one), I applied the update with only one scare... the dreaded "Device (Outlaw) Restart!" error. Reran it and all is good.
