My Outlaw 990/770 was fine last night. This morning they suddenly do not power up. I turn on the 990, it clicks, turns on, the 770 clicks turns on for a second, then they both shut down.

What happened overnight???

Thanks

It has been isolated to the 990. I disconnected the sync cord and the 7700 powers up. I am unable to do a system reset. Display on the 990 does not appear at all.

You may need to involve Outlaw support at some point, but to start with I'd try a few things. First, double-check the OPR/SVC switch (although it doesn't sound like the problem, aside from the low likelihood of the switch getting moved). Second, try unplugging it for a bit and plugging it back in.

What is the OVR/SVC switch?

I have tried the unplugging for about fifteen minutes, and have the unit unplugged now. Will try again this afternoon.

Thanks

The OPR/SVC switch is a switch on the rear panel that is used to install firmware updates. When in the SVC position, the unit won't leave standby mode. Since you are getting a brief change-over to "on" mode, though, I doubt that this is the problem.

More than likely, it's dead. I had the same thing happen to me just before Thanksgiving and had to send mine back to Outlaw to get fixed. I'm currently waiting on word of when I'll get it back.
