Hey folks. There is an expensive way to do this - which I elected not to do (so unlike me).
Instead, I went ahead and took GONK's suggestion and bought a component video switch from my local BB (made by Philips and cost about $45). It works just fine. The switch will accept up to 4 sets of cables. I have been using it to switch between my BluRay player and dedicated SACD player.
The switch has L + R + composit video + the three componenet video inputs. And that makes six inputs which can be used for L + R + SL +SR + C + SW.
I didn't want to buy an expensive switch as I anticipate upgrading to a new PreAmp (Outlaw's new one in 2008) which will accept HDMI for both video and audio. So, if you are looking for a short term and inexpensive way of switching analog audio cables...this is it.
