Finally was able to update the firmware to 3.11. On the remarks for the firmware it says it allows the lip synch delay to show on the front panel. It does not show on the panel only on the OSD of the TV. Is there a setting to have it show on the panel while adjusting as said with the new firmware.

Are you using the "sync" button on the 990's remote to make the adjustment? The front panel only shows the sync adjustment when making the change that way - it doesn't show anything when going through the setup menu.
