Hello, just getting back with a little bit of feedback on the combo delivered ten days ago. My first impression was well above what I had expected. The quality and workmanship on these products are, in my opinion, run circles around the competition costing considerably more. I will note, I have Klipsch speakers because they are very efficient. These speakers have never opened up quite like they have until I purchased this pre/pro setup, which says alot. The first thing I noticed was more headroom, and the ability of the amp to reproduce notes on music very sharply, rapidly and cleanly. I am sure this probably has something to do with the slew rate on the amp. In fact, I needed two more speakers for a seven channel system, so I went out and purchased a pair of Klipsch RF-82's last week for the mains. This SYSTEM ROCKS! I am still playing with the different options on the 990, and with due time I will get back with what I think. This preamp is simplicity at it's best. If there is anybody out there wondering if they should take the plunge on Outlaw products, I would at least audition them, and return it/them if you are not happy. I should have made this purchase six months ago. I am keeping what I have, and have no desire to return anything! Thanks Outlaw for two fine products, and thanks to all on this forum for helping me make a decision I will never regret! P.S. I have been watching this forum for about two years.
