I've got a new 990/7075 combo shipping, and have a question about the adjustment increments when using Feet vs Meters. I know that on my current Denon 3803, feet is always set in 1 foot increments. Meters allows .1m increments. Is this how the 990 handles it too?

BTW, I was the winner of the AVRev contest for the 970/7075 combo. I was able to upgrade the 970 to the 990 for the difference in price. I appreciate the ease of doing business with Outlaw, and hope to report back here after I've gotten everything set up. Looks like my 7075 showed up today, but the 990 will be here on Halloween.

The 990 offers one unit of measure: feet. You can adjust speaker distances in one foot increments.

Congrats on the AVRev win!

I'm looking at page 30 in the manual, and it states you can change the delay unit to meters.

Hmmm... maybe I need to go back through my 990's menu, as I didn't remember that option... Oops. I'll check it out this evening some time.

Lee,

The 990 can be programmed for units of measurement in meters or feet. You will find you can change from feet to meters in the OSD. It is under Display Units, the first line on the top of the screen choices. Calibration for the meters setting is every .3 meters to match the 1 foot increments. Congrats on the win. I think you will enjoy your winnings quite immensely!

Now that I have my 990 all set up, I went and looked at the distance settings from using the auto setup with the microphone. Surprisingly, when I changed the feet to meters, the distances were set in increments of .1 meters! Too bad the manual adjustment is still in increments of .3, though I see no reason to not have included .1m.

I'm still waiting for some time to sit down and spend some movie time with the new system. So far, it makes for a really nice setup.
