Hi everyone. I purchased an Outlaw 7125 about 6 mo. ago. Nice improvement over the Kenwood receiver alone. Everyone knows the 990 deal being offered now by Outlaw. Opinions please!! Will the 990 be much of an improvement over the Kenwood. Running a complete Polk speaker system (rti8 fronts, csi5 center, 505 sub, & fxi3 surrounds). My Sony 52 inch has only one DVI input. No HDMI. My dvd player is connected via a hdmi/dvi cable. A Directv HD receiver is in my near future. Can I assume that both the dvd and the hd receiver can be hooked to the 990 and the signal switched by the 990. Thanks, Chris

Based on a brief bit of googling, I would expect the 990 to be an improvement over the VR8070. The move to separate amplification was a good first step and has already served you well, but there would likely be additional benefits in the 990 upgrade.

Yes, you can connect both the DVD player and DirecTV HD receiver to the 990's DVI inputs and run from the 990 to your Sony (along with coaxial or optical cables for each).

Thanks Gonk. Ordered the 990 tonight. Let you all know what I think of it when it arrives. Chris
