Is there anyway to control Bass and/or Treble in Zone 2? Also can either the left or right channel be trimmed? I Use Zone two outdoors and need to have my right speaker louder than my left based on my typical seated position. I suspect this can not be done and if that is the case I hope these features are planned in the next pre/pro.

The second zone is basically a simple analog stereo pre-amp that shares inputs with the 990's main zone. As it operates entirely in the analog domain, settings like tone control and channel trim (which are performed in the digital domain for the main zone) are not available.

Thanks Gonk. Do you think this capability is a reasonable upgrade for the next Gen Pre/Pro?

It's a possible upgrade, but it'll mean adding a fair bit of hardware to the second zone (either separate bass/treble and level controls just for that zone or a separate DAC for that zone and enough digital processing power so that those processes can be done in the digital domain independently of the main zone) - and how those additions factor into the design and the overall budget is something that I don't know.

I use a Behringer A500 two channel amp for my second zone and it has separate volume controls for each channel. That's one way around it the level situation.

I use an old receiver to drive my second zone. It has its own bass, treble, volume, etc, so that's another way to get control of it. You could also insert an EQ of some type in the signal path (I'll say "assuming you're not terribly concerned about sound quality").

While I agree with gonk about it being possible, I kinda doubt that Outlaw will add those functions for Zone 2. Zone 2 seems to get little attention from most manufacturers, and it seems that few people actually use the feature.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have a 7 Channel Amp, of which 2 channels are dedicated for Zone 2. I suppose I can use the Windows Media Player or other software and play cd's through my Laptop and use the EQ and Balance through it.
