After making a bunch of configuration changes, I can't seem to get into the 990 Main Menu. I am trying to change my CD to use Opt3. When I press the menu button on the 990, nothing happens; the remote (although it will perform many functions) doesn't seem to allow me into the menu either.

I might be forgetting some simple step. So, is my 990 malfunctioning, or is it me??

Just an idea, but have you pressed the "TNR" button at the top of the remote? This button activates the buttons (including the Menu button) for 990 use. Maybe the CD button was pushed when you were changing settings.

The things to check:

• Make sure you hit "TNR" (as AvFan mentioned).
• Make sure you are pressing the "MENU" button above the channel buttons.
• Make sure you are viewing an input on your TV that is connected to the composite, s-video, or component video monitor output of the 990. The DVI monitor output won't work.

Since the first two don't matter as far as the front panel menu button goes, the last one is the most likely culprit.
