Thanks for the advice and info. I think I may go with the 980HD as I am planning on purchasing the Samsung HL-T6189S DLP/LED TV. Looks like the 980HD would be better paired with that TV according to the comparison charts on their site.

now that everything has had a few weeks to settle down, new gear, just fantastic. a good friend who's system outclasses mine by a hefty 2x$ just spent the last 2 hours here in amazement. stellar & spacious mid range.

at full tilt the 990/7125 didn't even seem to break a sweat the full length of back in black.

keeping the neighborhood up tonight...
