I bought my 990 (and 7125) 18 months ago. I'm relocating to HK. My unit requires 110 VAC but HK provides 240 VAC.

Is it possible to have the unit converted? I'd rather not have any kind of external step down transformer.

I had asked if Outlaw sales 240v 990 long long time ago. The answer was no.

I've just had to put them on Craigslist.

We do have a forum member who set out to convert both the 990 and an amp (I think a 7700) from 120V/60Hz to 220V/50Hz. I don't recall how it worked out, but I know it was pretty complex.

The power requirement for the 990 is low, so an outboard transformer for the 990 alone wouldn't be large or very costly. Adding a transformer large enough for a 7125 amplifier to provide full output would be a different story. Check with a HK supplier of transformers? Shame to sell if you don't really need to.
