Hello,

I have an Outlaw 990 and been using it almost a year now,very satisfied with the performance.Recently a friend of mine gave a Harmony 1000 remote since he saw i had 4 remotes on my music room,he bought 2 and gave 1 to me.
I was amazed how this remore can be set-up so easy with your desired activities on the wed.First test was fine it can turn on all my equipment and with the correct setting,just i wanted to...perfect.But then there was a bit of a problem,i cannot get the same volume responce as the Outlaw remote.On the outlaw remote every press on the volume (up,down) is 1db increment.With Harmony it is different,my default volume is -25db if i press once the volume + it shoots up to -8db,if volume down goes down up to -38db(it can be also more or less).Tried already their FAQ's and tried setting the "Inter-Key delays" but it did not help.I have e-mailed them since 4 days but did not get any reply..*&^%^
I know i should be addresing it to Logitech but i was just hoping somebody out there might have experience the same on their 990 and Harmony 1000.

I'd suggest calling Logitech and explain the volume control issue you are experiencing. On the rare occasions I've had to call them (I have the Harmony 880) they have been very helpful. They should be able to diagnose the problem and reprogram your Harmony 1000 while you are on the phone with them. They will take the time to allow you to test it to see if the revised programming works. Let us know how it works out.

I'm in Kuwait now and here we don't have access to Toll Free numbers and International call rates are expensive. I will wait for some more time,if they will not answer my e-mail then i have to contact them on a non-toll free number.

I contacted Harmony on your behalf and they have asked me to have you reload the 990 device into your Harmony as they have made changes to the software for you.

If that does not work, please send me a note as we have a "plan B".

Hello Guys,

I have called Logitech last night and explained the problem.It was fixed after i have update the remote.I only have one more issue which is the time not displayed on the remote monitor but they say that it was already escalated to their tecnical support and they will contact me in next 48hrs.I was happy with the remote now and with the online support from Logitech.But i was very very very happy with Outlaw support,i did not expect that Scott will contact Logitech on my behalf,for this i would like to say thank you very much.I have never experience such support in any company.I'll keep you guys posted what comes next.
