I am looking for advice on properly setting the X-over points on my Triad speakers in my home theater.
It's a 7.2 system. The LCRs are the Triad Silver InRoom LCR Series on pedestals, the side surrounds are Triad OnWall Bronze series and the subwoofers are the InRoom Silver PowerSub with the external rack mount amplifiers (500W). The rear surrounds are small Boston Acoustics Bravo IIs.
I can set X-over points in my preamp/processor (Outlaw 990) and I also have X-over points on the subwoofer amp. The Silver InRoom LCRs are a fairly accurate, medium sized speaker. I've been experimenting with X-over points of 60, 80, 100 and 150hz.
The confusion is that the Outlaw 990 is extremely flexible in providing bass management so there are many combinations of settings on the front end as well as on the sub amps. I'm not sure what Triad recommends based on the design of the Silver series.
Anyone out there running the Triad Silver Series that can offer up any experiences?
Regards,
billmac
