Hello everyone, proud to be a member of this forum! Here is my situation: I am planning on building a dedciated theater for my home. The room will be 12 ft wide, by 14 ft long with a 7 ft ceiling. I am planning on using the new Paradigm reference studio 20 v.4 as my front left and right, center, and 2 surrounds with the seismic 10 sub. I would like to use the Outlaw 990 and 7500/770 combo with this setup. How would this work? My second option is a Axiom Audio Grand Master 7.1 setup with 2 M22s as fronts, vp150 center, 4 QS8 as side and rear surrounds and an ep500 sub (this would however be in a slightly larger room, still 12 ft wide but 16 ft long) and the Outlaw 990 and 770 combo. Which qwould be the best setup? By the way, I will be using a Sony pearl for a projector onto a 92 " diagonal Stewart screen. Please offer any advice you can. Thank you!

I run an older version of the Paradigm Reference (Studio 60v2, CCv2, and a pair of ADPv2 rear surrounds along with some Axiom M3 side surrounds due to room constraints) along with an Outlaw LFM-1 sub in a room larger than yours (23'x17'x8'). The 990/7500 combo along with the Paradigms would be an excellent fit. If you have some room behind the seating position, you could go with 7.1 (as you mention considering with the Axiom setup) using a 7700 amp. Having used both Paradigms and Axioms, I would lean toward the Paradigms, but that's based in part on a comparison of surrounds (the Studio ADPv2's were somewhat better surrounds to my ear than the M3ti's) and both companies make mighty nice speakers. If you haven't done so already, I'd strongly recommend spending some time demo-ing the Paradigms using your own source material (CD's and DVD's that you are familiar with, focusing mainly on music) and if possible find a way to demo the Axioms if you can. Axiom does offer a 30-day return policy like Outlaw, so you could even demo them at home - you could even try just the M22's and order the rest of the setup if you like them.

I have been a happy owner of PSB for many years and getting ready to update my system either to higher line up of theirs and also looking at paradigm and revel.
Outlaw and PSB have been pleasing so far.
