Gonk, you must be right. The Britts are known to accenuate certain freq in order to obtain a " different sound".
Another odd anomoly: The 990 will play sources much lower than the 635 did.On movies with the 635,( Parasound amp)I would have volume set to -28.The Outlaw I need to set it at -15 to-10 to achieve the same volume.
[ On 7.1 ,I am able to boost line levels in the Marantz DVD player to achieve closer levels as compared to he HK.::another question here is, do I use the speaker distance setting in the DVD p or set all to 0 ?]
Would it be plausable to, boost speaker settings in " speaker callibrate"( 990) to make up some of the difference? As I have it set up now, no speaker has a level above +5.Would increasing the settings be a mistake.
