Is it possible that I can use my headphones to listen to DVD while my daughter is watching TV via the 990? I was just hoping that this is a possibility as she just woke me up from a nap and said that she wanted to watch "Blues Clues" on demand rather than let me sleep... or is there a feature on the 990 that I'm not aware of that can neutralize a five year old? The shock from the volume button without the humidifier doesn't have enough juice.

Hmmm... There's not a way that I know of to tie the headphone output to the second zone, which would be one way to do what you are describing. The second zone would work if you hooked up a separate headphone amp to the second zone output, but unless you have a headphone amp lying around I doubt that'll do you much good this afternoon...
