Any experience with Bi-amping?

I have a pair of Dahlquist DQ20's and after reading the manual for the new Outlaw speakers, It seems as though I can bi-amp the speakers fairly easily by just getting some speaker wire and two Y connectors... one for each speaker.
I happen to have two Aragon 8008 amps @ 200 amps per channel. My question is this - Will 400 watts per channel be too much for these speakers? I don't have the manual. Also, will I really hear a difference?
Any other thoughts and feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thank you - Aaron

I'm bi-amping now. I was in much the same situation and came across enough amps to be able to do this. I found in my case an improvement in sound. This could be any number of reasons, more power going to each side of the speaker causing them to be louder, etc. If you have the amps try it and listen to see if it's worth it. Jim

Could someone tell me what anyone thinks the benefit of passive biamping is supposed to be, beyond possibly three decibels more acoustic output (= sounding "a little louder")?
