Anyone using ac line conditioners like any of the PS Audio line with the 990 or anything else.
I have always had problems with line noise in my home and have been looking at getting the PS audio Power Director 3.5 to help my system out.

I have the Belken PureAv PF60 like AaronMadler. There are many audiophile companies out there that offer products that are so overpriced and do not deliver the goods.
I recommended this to a former co-worker who just installed a 50 inch Panasonic Plasma HDTV and the very next day he told me he saw an improved picture. I did not get to ask him about Audio as I was let go but trust me when I say you will like this unit very much over the BS Audio companys versions.
I got mine off on From Ebay for $195 back in September. The price on the PureAv web site was and still is $600. I suggest you get the unit at that price, you will be so lucky.
Liz

Liz - The link that I have attached has a price of $169.99, it was so inexpensive, that I purchased two. One for each system that I have.

Aaron, you were even luckier than me. The price on the PureAv web site I believe is still $600.
My system is not installed yet. I just started ordering. I have my Ascend Acoustics 340C Center and an HSU VTF-2 MK2 subwoofer on order.
Let me aks what audible improvements you notice you get with the PF60? Also, what video improvements do you notice?

Do power conditioners work? I have had 2 different types. A panamax, cant remember the model, and a Blue Circle B86. The Panamax was 1st. My wife could tell a diference in picture quality, I couldn't tell anything, but thought that my system did sound better. After that I bought the Blue Circle B86. Nothing plugs into it, it simply sucks all the bad noise into it. Don't ask me how. There web site exsplains it. Once I put the B86 in to the eqaution, low and behold I could tell a difference.Well over a year now, I've unplugged both the Panamax and B86. My wife doesn't know, and I can't even tell any difference. Bottom line is, I wanted to hear a difference before, I think? Now I have a APC J-15 UPS/conditioner which powers everything. Had they had a model for home theater use without any conditioning I would have bought that.

Liz and Bill O - I was only lucky because TooMuchActions pointed me to the ecost website which was less expensive than any other that I found. Call me crazy, but the audible improvements that I noticed with the PF60 were these. I had a popping sound every time that I turned on my amp and there are two high current outlets that I plugged my amps into with a delay of 5, 10 or 15 seconds. Now I no longer hear the popping sound when I turn on the system as the amps are delayed by 5 seconds. You must read the manual on the PF60 for a better explanation. Also, as I was connecting all of my components to the PF60, I noticed an extreme buzzing coming from the speakers. At that time, only one of two amps was plugged in and when I plugged the other amp in, the buzzing was gone. To be honest, I'm not sure that I noticed any video improvements, but that might be because I had no video problems to begin with. However, with regard to video problems, which I had at my office set up, I had a similar problem recently and I purchased the following based on info from this forum. I purchased the Jensen, model VRD-1FF cable tv rf isolator. It cost $50.00 and got rid of 90% of the problem. 6th photo down - Jensen, model VRD-1FF. Also, you might want to try Brickwall for high power audio applications such as an amp and subwoofer, model PW2RAUD, cost $235.00 as recommended from Steve at Outlaw, but I have no personal experience with this. (first photo at left) I wish you luck as I know how annoying ground loop hum and buzz can be. Please let me know how it goes. http://www.jensen-transformers.com/iso_vid.html http://brickwall.thomasnet.com/category/audio-surge-protectors?

The Tripplite Isobar series has excellent AC filters and are very reasonably priced.
