What version of the HDMI protocol is the 990 processor currently supporting?

Will this version be updated in the future?

Just received my Toshiba HD-XA2 HD-DVD player and will be hooking it up today. just curious what to expect as far as HDCP compliance. I would love to use this as an up-converting DVD player also, if it works.

The 990 uses DVI switching, which is 100% compatible with all HDMI standards for video but does not support audio. It is also HDCP compliant for switching (I've used it between an HDCP-compliant DVI HD cable box and an HDMI upscaling DVD player to feed video to an HDCP-compliant DVI HDTV).

Since posting my question I've successfully tried playing an HD-DVD as well and an SD DVD on the XA2 through the 990 up to the projector. The SD disc up converts with no HDCP errors.

I was only able to get Optical audio working. couldn't seem to simply configure the analog audio and get it to work. I guess I'm headed back down to the HT to try tweaking both the player settings and the 990 settings.
