Hello everyone.

I've scoured this and other forums looking for advice on AV furniture that will hold the 990.

Specifically, I'm looking for a low wide TV stand for a 60" rear-projection TV, probably with 3 bays with space for a center-channel speaker (8" high). The outer 2 bays should have glass doors, and shelves with width, depth, and strength adequate for the 990 and a large 75-pound amp.

Ideally, this will look like traditional furniture, not too contemporary, not industrial, and be well-ventilated with cable management options.

I just cannot seem to find this combination! Salamander Synergy comes close, but seems to be too shallow. Any ideas?

The Salamander works great for me. TV and main speakers on top. Sqeezebox, power conditioner and cable box on left. Center channel, dvd and 990 in center, 7500 and 2-channel amp on right.

My wife thinks it's a bit contemporary but it works with our furniture. It is a bit shallow for balanced interconnects but I modified the rear pannels to make it work.

Overall-I'm quite happy with it.

I cut a hole in the back the size of the 990 to make the hooks easier.

We had our stand custom made by a cabinet company. I was able to draw up a rough sketch than work with someone to pin down all the details. My wife was weary about going custom, but now she absolutely loves it. Here's a photo .

That's a nice looking cabinet, cvinfig.

In our cabinet, I put the amp on the bottom (lot of free area above it, secure foundation) and cut out behind it and the 990 for wiring. Here are a couple pictures .

Your custom cabinet looks a lot like a Salamander triple. I like it.
GC- I did what gonk did. Cut the bottom of the back panels off and put the 990 and 7500 on the bottom shelf so most wires run out the cut.

I have the Salamander tripple and absolutely love it. Have the 990/7125 combo and a Sony 60" SXRD sitting on top. I put a NHT M5 in the center. Used a short 10" door underneath that. I put the whole thing on their rollers to ease hook ups.

I went with the ventilated doors and sides. I bought the extended rear pannel for the 990/7125 section.

as a bonus - this was one of the easiest pieces of furniture I ever put together. Highly recommended.
