I'm trying to envision placing some new Outlaw gear in my living room. I have a couple of 2200s that arrived in a nice black color otherwise they were non-descript. I have seen a myriad of photos of the 990 and they all appear as a different shade of gray to me. Is the knob silver or white? Various attempts to render photos to this wonderful forum just seem to confuse the issue for me. Any renderings that you may have and could/would post for me would be really appreciated. I wish you all a great new year and may every meal be a feast, every payday be a winning lottery ticket, every weekend be a holiday and any mail from the IRS be a notification of their error.

The 990 is black (very similar to your 2200's, maybe subtly different). The knob and buttons are silver. The pic below is a pretty decent color indicator (with M200's on the right):

It's black, not gray as it appears in some photos. Same color as my M200 monoblocks.
