I use my 990 for 2 channel music only (with a sub woofer). Two front speakers are connected to the 990/7500. There is no center and surround speakers connected. In the "Speaker Size" menu, I set "Front" to "Large" and "Surrounds" to "none". But there is no "none" selection in the menu for the center channel. It forces me to chose either "large" or "small". I am wondering how can I make "none" selection for all surrounds and the center channels.

I do have installed with success the software updates released early this year. A couple of other people asked the same question, but there is no answer yet. Can some of you experts advise me on this issue? Thanks a million!!!

I just went down and checked mine. I just go into the menu and select speaker size, the select Center, then hit the right arrow button and it cycles between large, small, none and back again. Is this what yor are doing?

There's a bug that prevents both the center and the surrounds from being disabled at the same time. If you leave the surrounds set to small you can disable the center, or vice versa. Either way, operating in "Stereo" will use only the mains, of course.

A year later...
Should we assume that this bug is not going to be fixed?

Recognizing that this is a cosmetic issue, I find it a little disappointing that I can't make the display correctly show that I'm set for stereo.
