Hi guys,
I finally recieved my amp back and now can review the 990 vs the meridian and emotiva. One problem, I can't get the 990 to respond when I hit the menu button. I have to configure the inputs and the rest of it. I performed a version upgrade a week ago. Did that do something to it? I have all my connections complete, I am keeping it simple to review. I have all the xlr connections, the coax digital in(1), dvd component in, and then the component out. I turned it on and hit standby. Next I tried the menu button and nothing. Please help.

Were you using the remote? If so, were you using the menu button next to the zero or the one near the navigation keypad? There is a button near the navigation keypad that has "Menu" as an alternate label, but that's for DVD players and such - the button that brings up the 990's menu is the one with "Menu" as the primary label, next to zero.

I did not use the remote. I tried the front panel. I will give it a try. I hope it is that easy. thanks Gonk.

Also make sure the TV is on and set to the correct input - the menu doesn't show up on the front panel.

I feel stupid. I had the remote not set to the 990. No wonder it would not work. Well I have everything working and will evaluate it today and tomorrow. Thanks
